How do I book a castle?
Hiring a castle from us is as easy as 1,2,3.
First, determine if you are booking for house parties or business bookings, when you will need a jumping castle and the type of Castle, Combo or Giant slide you’re wanting to hire
Have a look at our extensive range of castles or contact us for suggestions.
Then, "Book Online" or give us a call on 0403 737 911.
On the day, your uniformed jumping castle installer(s) will arrive at least one hour before the scheduled start time (a time pre-confirmed with you the day prior, not included in your hire time) and will set everything up for you, including briefing you on how to enjoy the castle safely as well as the signing of our hire agreement and collecting payment if this hasn’t already been done.
Enjoy the castle.
Then, after the scheduled hire period, your smiling castle operator(s) will come and pick up the castle, simple!

How much notice is needed in advance of booking a castle from Sydney Jumping Castle Hire?
In order to avoid disappointment we suggest you make your booking as soon as possible. You are welcome to enquire and place a castle on hold for a short period to provide you with time for any last-minute discussions or organizing regarding the upcoming event prior to confirming the booking.
-
What’s the total cost? Will there be any additional costs?
The prices for each inflatable vary but are listed when you click upon each selection. Additional costs are incurred if the inflatable(s) are on a hard surface in which we are not able to use pegs ($100 per inflatable – extensive weights required), staff supervision of your inflatable if requested or required ($80 per hour), excessive stairs / access difficulty (we will contact you to discuss) or require a petrol-powered generator ($200 per inflatable – includes fencing and fuel) or should you request additional fencing (crowd control) around your inflatable ($245 for complete set of 7 metal fences), delivery fees are incurred outside of 9km from Doonside NSW 2767. Surcharges may apply on public holidays. For hires in parks or public spaces please contact us as council permission is required. There may be a small council application fee or day permit fees etc.
-
What is included in the price of the jumping castle?
All castle booking prices include local delivery (within 9km Doonside), setup, cleaning, pickup and all required equipment and safety mats. This excludes weight bags if required, supervision of the inflatble, petrol generators if required and these will occur additional fees.
-
Can we hire a jumping castle in a park or public space?
Yes, for private hires in parks or public spaces please contact us as council permission is required. Booking fees can apply from council. Supervision by our staff is now mandatory, standard rates apply ($80 per hour).
-
What access is required to deliver and setup the jumping castle?
Normally you will be required to have at least 90 cm clearance along the access path. The larger slides or combos will need at least 1m or more. Please also consider if there are any obstructions such as air-conditioning units, water heaters or anything that may be blocking the access path. Please note that most castles weigh between 50kgs and 200kgs so we need advance notice of any stairs or difficult access. Please contact us and provide photos if you have any doubts.
-
How and when do I make payment?
Payment can be made in advance of the booking date (bank transfer or credit card payment over the phone). To avoid dissapointment, payment is required before or during the setup process. Accecpted payment methods are cash or credit card payment (our drivers have eftpos machines on hand).
For business/corporate customers payment is required prior to the event date, unless another arrangement has been made in advance of the booking date. Accepted payment methods are invoice (bank transfer) or over the phone credit card payments.
-
Is a deposit required on the day of the hire?
No, a deposit is not required.
-
What happens if I need to cancel?
You may make changes to your booking or cancel your booking at any time without penalty as late as the day prior to your booking at 3pm being the cut-off. Should we arrive as planned on the day or you decide to cancel on the day or after 3pm the day prior to your booking, a 50% payment total is required as we’ll have arranged staff to be available, loaded your equipment as well as the cost of getting to your location etc.
-
Can we use the inflatable in the rain?
No, during actual rain or if the inflatable is wet, users must be evacuated from the device and the device must be switched off. If rain has passed, device may be reinflated, wiped dry with towels (including safety mats, entrance, exits and inside accessible areas of the device) prior to use. Inflatable with shower covers assist in keeping the inside of the inflatable dry and are not intended so users can use the equipment in consistent rain. Using inflatables when wet is dangerous and will void your liability coverage.
-
What if rain or high winds are forcast on the day of my party or event?
We treat rain and wind very seriously and we do have our limits. We check the forcasts in advance of your booking. Sometimes, if your event is outdoors, it may be cancelled due to these forecasts.
We will leave you with a wind reading device and run through with you on the day its use and our wind limits, frequency of checking the wind according to the readings as well as the shut down proceedures etc. We will always communicate with you the day before your hire and try to make an educated decision together.
On some occasions it could be difficult to determine the forcast. For example, if its the day before your hire and from 3pm onwards for example (the time we will typically be loading the vehicles for the following day), we allow an option for you to decide if you want to pay 35% of your hire fee (over the phone by credit card) for us to load your equipment, in the hope that the forcast improves and for our staff to drive to your event location the following morning/early afternoon. However, we will not setup if the forcast has not improved or deemed unsafe and you will lose the 35% payment.
-
Is there a limit to the number of children that can be on the castle at the same time?
Yes. Our inflatables have specific limits you are required to obide by. These are listed under the “technical specs” tab once you click on any given inflatalbe that is on our website.
You are required to review the “technical specs” tab, so you are aware of these limits and restrictions and have the person supervising the equipment made aware of these limits and restrictions.
-
How long does it take to deploy the inflatable and how long does it take to remove?
The process generally takes about 45 minutes to one hour to setup and 30minutes to remove. Naturally times may vary depending on your castle selection and access to the premises and where the castle was deployed. We’ll always aim to arrive at least one hour prior to your start time.
-
Will the jumping castle arrive before my booking time?
Yes, we often will arrive earlier than your booking start time (without charge) and this early potential time will be optional by you, when making the booking but our staff will deliver the equipment approximately 1 hour before your agreed start time at the latest.
-
How far do you deliver? Will there be a delivery fee?
We cater for anywhere in Sydney. Delivery fee’s may apply based on your location depending on your proximity from Doonside 2767 as per below:
| 0 to 9km = Free |10km to 19km =$40 | 20km to 29km = $60 | 30km to 39km =$80 | 40km to 49km =$100 | 50km to 59km =$120 |
-
Is a supervisor required to monitor the castle at all times?
Yes, you are required to have at least one responsible adult supervising the inflatable(s) at all times, per inflatable whilst in use as per our hire agreement OR have one of our staff members do this at our rates provided.
Supervision = $50 p/h (x 1 trained supervisor).
-
Can I place a castle on concrete or other hard surface?
Yes, we provide extensive “non-scratch” weight bags to safely secure the castle in place and provide additional safety mats where needed. You must let us know when making the booking for us to arrange this, extra charges apply at $50 per inflatable.
-
Do you supply safety instructions?
Yes, we provide written safety instructions and guidelines with every hire as well as the most basic verbal instructions on the day of the hire.
-
Are there fees for stairs?
There can be yes. Generally, if we have 4 or more stairs to come up or down to deliver your inflatable, we will need to arrange another staff member to assist our driver/installer on the day, hence the fees involved.
However, you may choose to assist or arrange help and will not be charged for this if you are willing and able to do so.
There are limits to the number of stairs feasible – the online booking form will ask you about this and we will contact you if needed.
Should assistance not be possible, rates may occur as below:
Stairs:
1 to 3 stairs = Nil
4 to 10 stairs = $100
10 to 20 stairs = $200
-
Will we be able to use the castle during the hours we booked it for?
Yes, if you booked the castle from 12pm to 4pm for example, we would have the castle operational by 12pm and not return until 4pm or afterwards, unless you requested a shorter hire period in which case the price would still remain the same.
-
What happenes if I have paid prior to the day and my event is cancelled due to rain or high wind? Or if the forcast is unpredictable?
Customers whom have paid upfront and the forcast is inclemant weather (excessively high winds or rain forcast), will be contacted the day before to discuss the options. If the forcast predictions are high winds or storms (a safety risk to continue) we both may be in agreeance to cancel the event but this must be done prior to 2pm the day before the event. In this case the customer will be fully reinburst.
-
Are adults permitted to use the jumping castles?
Some inflatables have been designed to allow use by adults (these are listed under the “technical specs” tab once you click on any given inflatalbe that is on our website.) but most are for children under the age of 13 years. The items below that are all suitable for adult use include;
# 1 Bounce House, #125 Screamer slide, #126 Boomer Slide, #139 Soccer Darts, #140 Basket-ball shoot out, #141 Astro-ball sports, #143 Jungle Jumps, # 146 Big Top Circus.
However, you must not permit adults and children on any inflatable together at the same time (unless to assist a child in danger) as this is dangerious and will negate any liability to Sydney Jumping Castle Hire.
